Rashid Tanko in response to the news asked the public to disregard the story.
He said “It’s a makeup story; Forget about them. It’s a mischievous thing. What kind of rubbish is that? When you say someone has threatened someone with a gun, that’s a lie. I’m even in Accra in a meeting; ignore them, just ignore them. They just want to make some news. I’m sure this our business, if they just want to divert some pressure from government they bring up certain things. Ignore them.”
